Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA)
Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a payment used to cover all charter expenses (such as food, drinks, all fuel and relevant costs for the yacht and its tenders, harbour expenses, marina berthig fee if required during the charter, gratuity and all related costs for the yacht, crew, client.) apart from charter fee.
APA is around %30-35 of the charter fee. Captain of the yacht is responsible for all expenditure and collecting receipts. Occassinally there would be insufficient remaining balance during the charter. In this case, the captain will require sufficent sum to maintain the balance.
At the end of the charter the captain prepares the account with receipts and all supporting documents for the client. According to sum, if there had been made less payment from the client than the account, client will pay the balance in cash or if there is an over payment from the client, the captain will pay the over payment.
APA is a compulsory for most of the luxury yacht charters.
